Opinions on German cap

Dear all,

I saw this at a local sale and as my area of collecting really lies within Danzig related items such as Danzig Crosses, honor pins, etc. I am not really sure if this is an OK cap or not. I think rather not looking at the images now, the maker inside has BGS at the end, which could stand for the more modern Bundesgrenzschutz?

I would be grateful for any help.

Can I just ask you if that also goes for the eagle itself as well?

post war west german police cap imo. if it was TR it would probably have a cloth eagle and cocade not a metal one (metal ones are for visors)
