Yep, wartime manufactured, unusual with the Other Ranks metal insignia, but this sometimes happened.

Interesting that it is named to an officer from the Fliegerhosrtkommandantur Werl, where FM Kesselring was imprisoned postwar for war crimes. Apparently Werl had a fairly large prison complex during and post WW2.

Any signs of cloth insignia? If not, it is rare to find factory-installed metal insignia.
