Thx guys I respect both of your opinions. Bought two caps from the same person.at SOS. He is a WAF member. Too bad 1600 hard earned dollars gone. Think I am goimg to get out of this stuff.

Call them out if you got taken! Don't be afraid. That is the only way word will get around in collecting. That is one of the thigns that is hurting the hobby. Folks gets burnt but never advise of the person doing it and it just get passed along to some other unsuspecting collsctor

Good Morning Tony;
I don't recall owning or selling this cap.
Can you tell me where and when the sale happened?
I am a collector, not a dealer, and only set up at the February SOS
and shows at the Meadowlands shows in Union, NJ.
I have sold M43 and bergmeutzen from my own collection after
focusing solely on insignia some years ago.
The $1600 price is also an enigma; the highest priced cap I have
sold was $1200 for a custom made Officers Bergmeutze.
I have all my show records and will check them over.
