Tricolor pith shield

Hello gentlemen,
I have this national tricolor pith shield from some years.
The size is correct (about 3,6cm x 4,2cm), however I think is a fake because:
- it's more heavy respect others good shields I have
- I don't like the rear prongs welding
- most important the front surface is pitted ("lowered") and not pebbled ("raised ")

I would like your opinions about this shield...

Agree with Tim, crappy modern fake and as you mentioned the pitted surface is an obvious sign of a fake.
