Hi,
M43 field caps can be very dangerous territory, but I too think this one has a chance. I also like the breast eagle and other insignia.

I don't like it at all! And half of the other pieces there are clearly bad too.

General rank items aren't difficult to find, but they are heavily faked!

M43 opinion

The insignia photos are terrible, but the tabs and breast eagle look OK (based on these photos). Like the other guys have said, this is a minefield and if you stepped on that cap it may explode!! Alex

I like the cap more than dislike. On one hand it uses upscale trikot wool, silky liner, and a nice forehead sweatband, yet on the other, it appears a tad frugal as well....cheezy weavers cloth on the backside of visor, cheezy muslin for the pull down loops and em buttons...also mousey em trap (sewn while the side panels were flat). Maybe it was the mid priced model and not the Cadillac. Overall appears nicely made but, like most, I'd tag it with 'caveat emptor' as well.
