Hello forum..

I found this cap and it looks put together poorly.

It appears to be an original enlistedmans cap... but someone sewed on officer insignia post war?

the insignia is easy to remove... I just wanted to know if the bullion is legit before I take it off?

Bullion is legit. Before you take it off, can you post pics of the interior,and with the sweatband up?

the bill is coming off.... missing sweatband... restitched interior. missing side buttons.

I told a collector friend if the bullion is bad... he can have it for $250.

but... if it's good... I will remove the bullion, and ask $200. I have very few pieces of bullion insignia in my collection.

thanks for the added pix. Hat is a Hertlein. Some hats are legit wartime NCO-Officer upgrades, but I doubt this is one of them.

I agree, you should remove the insignia and sell it separately. Erel wreaths are very hard to find loose.
