luft overseas hat - assumed fake

I've been offered a large group of items and I'm 99.9% sure all are fakes but want to post to get confirmation. It looks to me like a reproduction breast eagle was sewn onto this hat. Can anyone give their opinions on the eagle and the hat? Thanks.

The hat is supposed to be an Army M-42 "turn-down" Overseas Cap....with a LW eagle sewn on.....the buttons on the hat are NOT Correct.... possible original pieces put together...but of low collector value "as is"....and the cap may well be a "modern" replica....can't tell from these photos....
