Panzer Barett! Überzug!

Hello Experts

Today I visited a family from a soldier that served " at the panzers " .. so that is the information I got. I am not sure in wich division. There I got a nice Panzerkampfabzeichen and they told me that the already have his cap. I said.. please show me and they showed me this Überzug. I guess this is a "Überzug" for a black Panzer Barett... am I right? I dont collect uniformstuff normally, so that is why I am asking. Sadly the corpus is missing . I guess this piece was never in wear. Maybe this was some kind of " ersatz " ?

Only for information, I deleted this auction at the day first collector told me that this is NOT an überzug.
