I notice this hat has one button on the front, most i see seem to have two buttons on the front, would this be an early type or later hat?

Most single button SS m43 will be encountered with 2 piece front mounted insignia..no one has noticed the button and hole are reversed for the standard direction ?? NICE CAP !! Billbert
