    LW officer's overseas cap

    Hey guys,
Thought I'd share one of my relatively recent acquisitions with you. It is a very nice officer quality material overseas cap, sized and marked 57-1/2. The cap is torn up here and there.
The most interesting part is that the interior has a wicker stiffener running along the top seam. This stiffener has broken in a couple of spots and is poking through the inner liner.

The inside, note the wicker stiffener poking through (sorry about the lousy photos).

        Hello,
How often did Officer's use EM insignia on their overseas caps? I have seen a number of such caps over the year and at first thought they had been put together. I now wonder if this is an officers field cap and he would keep the more expensive cap for with a better uniform. What do members think?

Enlisted insignia is more common on original caps than bullion insignia, in my experience
