Heer Infantry overseascap , opinions please

Hello all ,

I would like to hear some opinions about this Infantry overseascap for EM/NCO's please.
White soutasche , cockade and eagle looks Original to the cap.
There's also something that looks like a fork or something attached to the cap's left side..... it's there for a long time judging the lighter color of the thread on the outside compared to the Original , black color of the thread inside.
The "fork" is cut from sheet metal......
I've seen this kind of personal touch at KM caps but never on Heer overseascaps.

Certainly an original hat,soutache looks real white considering the wear of the hat,perhaps it was cleaned.

I agree. Wonder if it's his flash or lighting making it look washed out?

The soutache appears hand sewn and, as mentioned, much fresher than the cap itself. I suspect the soutache and unit device were added to "enhance" the value of the piece.
