No need for a crystal ball if you have strong observation skills. Tha cap looks unissued/unworn and the edelweiss does not appear to have been there 70+ years.
If you will compare it closely to Roberts fine example you will see the difference's. Notice how the edelweiss sits into Robert's cap and how it rests on the threadstarter...

Not sure why we are talking about a cap from a thread four years ago though ?

Why not after four years, I still disagree with your arguement, which your sole basis is the cap is unissued or barely worn as opposed to a used cap.

That is not my "sole basis" and is only a side argument at best.

Again, the reason i think its postwar added along with several guys from down-under is the way the edelweiss sits on the cap when compared to Roberts example. Of course we are all just going of images. When an edelweiss sits on a cap for 70+ years it will shows signs of having done so, like Robert's cap.

The fact that the cap is unissued does not help its case for having an edelweiss.
Nor does the edelweiss appear used either ?
