tropical M43 feldmutze - opinions please

Hi guys,

Could you say me if this tropical ( I think ) cap has any chance to be a good WWII period one.
It comes from a flea market for a very low flea market price and seems really old and worn. There are no ( attractive ) marking and vent hole are green ( not good sign ). Then I don't be really afraid with a copy but with a post war customized model.
The LW eagle seems removed.
