Dear all,
Maybe you can help me out with this unusual cap....I got it from one of my pickers who obtained it from a private house-hold in Germany.
It is a used cap (similarly styled as a M43-model cap) which is constructed from blue-coloured (felty-like) wool. It is 'piped' in the bright-yellow ('Zitronengelb') branch-colour and is stamped with a size (55) and the abbreviation: 'DRP' (which IMO presumably stands for 'Deutsche Reichspost').
It has a neat 'BeVo'-style cap-eagle (off-factory ie. machine-stitched!) attached: its a left-facing model on a bluish-background. I have of course no problems with the cap whatoever (it is 100% okay) but what is it exactly?
Maybe some of the WAF-members can help me out?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Coco
