I would agree with a replaced visor.

I would also say that it has the look of a nice period cap , but one would have to ask why the leather visor has been replaced considering the condition of the cap body
which seems to look quite good, also sweatband looks out of place and to big for that visor IMO.

Im thinking maybe it was a standard Panzer visor cap with added leather visor to give it a crusher/Alter-Art look which would demand more coin on the the market.

Any chance to get photo's of underneath the sweatband and behind insignia area of pasteboard to see if there are any exsisting hole's ?

Repaired or not - she's a beauty! Would look amazing on top of a wrapper.
