Had this visor a long time and I am going to put it on the e-stand but I was wondering if this was an NCO's hat upgraded to an Officers and if there are any red flags.

Cap looks OK to me, but I'm pretty certain that it is an issue enlisted cap. upgraded to an officer. This was certainly done in the day; was it actually done postwar? Probably will never know.

Nice cap first off. There is no real way to ever be certain of an upgraded cap unless you have a pic of the cap in wear by the NCO and then another pic with him as an Officer. Either way beautiful cap. Matt

Would not the color & material of the interior, along with the issue stamps, indicate an issue, non-private purchase cap?
