    Coastal Artlliery Officer Crusher

Dear all, with the permission of the seller and the owner, I am glad to post some photographs of this beauty. Unfortunately, the eagle is denazified. Still, I think this crusher is nice. Would like your learned comments. Thanks.

    Descriptions by the seller:-
Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Officers Crusher Cap.

This is a Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Old Style Officers Crusher cap made of high quality ribbed cloth. At front cap have a handembroderied bullion wreath/cocade on darkgreen backing. Included to the cap is the original bullion cap eagle on dark green backing. The eagle is denazified. Old threads and stitchholes as well as shading match the included eagle perfectly. To the front is also a heavy silver/aluminium chincord.

Outside the cap show mediumwear and cap have chafe wear mainly to highlighted positions and the piping, there are four pinhead sized holes to the cap. Except that there are no mendings, larger holes, rips, tears or mothing to cap, just even wear all over.

Inside the lining is made from light yellow rayon. Cap still have it´s original sweat shield which is present to 99%, there are no maker visable on or under the sweatshield. Cap still have it´s original brown leather sweatband. The sweatband has some tears and is pretty stained from use.

Caps inside is made of fully foldable black gauze material. As on all real crushers it also have a fully foldable leather bill. Cap is really a "salty dog" with the 50 mission look. It have a very nice appearance!! It have the smell and feel you would like to see in a combat used cap like this!

    Size approx 58

Thanks for all the positive comments. The most unfortunate thing is that the eagle has been denazified.

Yes,I wonder how difficult it would be to find a replacement eagle?
I, too, like the cap very much.

I agree that finding a replacement eagle is not diffcult. But then, since the eagle has been denazified, some marks have to be deducted, at least according to my humble standard.

                    Hello Guys,

As some of you knows, the green is not my favorite color and not my speciality.
For me it is not an officer cap and not the good eagle an dcocarde for this type of cap. I have no problem with the cap itself but if you look with attention the wartime pictures you note there are worn by the NCO and principally by the "Spiess". Each time eagle and cocarde are "bevo".
Opinion by "KM green specialist" are welcome.

                    Best regards nfrom France,

                    Michel

I'm for shure not the seller of the cap but I like to know why you are so shure it did not come from an officer?
I don't see any markings or points of an upgraded cap.

                      Cheers,

There is nothing wrong with the insignia, the patina matches quite nicely.

                              Hello,

My intention is not to break this cap, she is good but totally atypical for an officer IMO, look the wartime pictures.

It will be interesting to compare the actual eagle size and the shadow original one. The same for the oakleaf cocarde with better pictures.

Second hypothese, the visor is not original sew.

                              Regards,

                              Michel
