                    Looks original field cap on picture . I think early green Heer insignS reapplied .
                    Never see before a 1942 dated cap with typ of insigns !

                      Gentlemen,thanks a lot for replys.Here are a few more additional pics.For me all looks good and i don`t see any signs for applied,but i am not an expert in this field.Iam glad to hear more opinions,because when it's bad i can give back.

                          Hi Tobau,
                          This is a difficult one to determine for sure...I too would be surprised to see continental insignia on a panzer cap at this late date, but I do like the insignia and the application method (hand sewn eagle and machine sewn cocade).
                          Considering supply situations, any thing is possible.

                              The materials are correct and it is a well-known maker with what appears to be the proper stamping. I also like the application of the insignia, which is consistant for this maker. It is either an original or an exceptional reproduction.
