Maker: Kasseler Mutzenfabrik aka H. Schade

You see this maker most often on contract WH visors, or on distributor marked visors.

The maker is H. Schade of Kassel, and he sold under the " Kasseler Mutzenfabrik" name--his firm was located at Koelnische Strasse 33/35 .

However, with the exception of the contract caps, the name is never spelled out. The logo is always just "KM".

Hermann Vockrodt was a distributor for Schade as well. Note that he was literally down the street from him, being at Koelnische Strasse 7 :

Schade also had an RZM # and was party-approved according to Derek.

They also appear to have survived the war, at least for a short while. Here is an early postwar BRD police hat:

According to Wim Saris:

"19 is for H. Schade, known as the
Kasseler Mützenindustrie, later renamed as Mützenfabrik at Kassel. This is
mentioned in the <ACRONYM title=Reichszeugmeisterei>RZM</ACRONYM> handbook 1935 and 1938 <ACRONYM title=Reichszeugmeisterei>RZM</ACRONYM> manufacturer's list"
