Is it normal that the Insigina on a Luft M43 was hand sewn?

Normal on officer examples with bullion insignia...atypical for OR/NCO insignia.

Completely normal for officer and EM/NCO examples. Trapezoids were normally machine sewn though.

Many caps can be found with handsewn insignia, original or post war done ..
