Hello fellas,
Here is my "new" LW NCO/EM cap bought from a german collector.
He tells me he had this one from the original owners family, the name of the owner should be Wilhelm Lohmeier, born in 1921.he served in italy as a paratrooper medic but he never jumped. Some pics and copies of documents are coming later.
I think good about this cap, BUT cannot say that it fulfill all criteria. There is heavy wear on the visor, on the front, and it has certainly been restiched/repaired. Maybe the visor was replaced..?..from the info in Gary Wilkens book it is stated that the inside of the visors from this maker (Hermann Potthoff ("HPC") from Coesfeld) should be green - here it is obviously black.
Can I hear any opinion on this visor please..?..
Thanks in advance,
Hans Kristian
