Hans Römer Police Shakos?

What about all those "Hans Römer" police shakos available on the market?

I've been looking around for one of those "M36" police shakos lately and this maker seems to be fairly common. What puzzles me is that though they seem authentic, all are in good - very good condition and equipped with what looks like minty liners (though the chinstraps for some reason often show wear)...

Has someone found a forgotten lot of unused ones, or...?

Shakos of other brands on the market seem to have liners in various stages of wear/"decay", from almost minty to almost gone, but most Römer liners look like this one:

Question: How hard would it be to convert a post-war Römer Polizei shako into a TR one? If it's just a matter of insignina, I fear it's common practice...
