Gents, I recently acquired through absentee bidding at a Pennsylvania auction. Please let me know what you guys think!

I don't know much about these, but I have always wanted to own a couple because I think they look really cool.

Can anyone give me some general knowledge on them? (i.e. who would have used these, police district, etc.). I know very little about these as I am a helmet guy. I look forward to the help!

The police shakos with black trim were used by the municipal police in all major cities and smaller towns of Nazi Germany from 1936-1945. Many were retained by the post-1946 German police created by the occupying powers and de-nazified by the removal of the entire eagle or just the swastika, as well as the cockade, the oval device stuck in the top above the eagle.
