      Of course the owner is convinced it's a period early SS visor...

            I was going to say it's possibly on old enlisted/nco cap for Leibhusaren Regt. nr.2, but that seems unlikely, given that the maker was in Nuremberg, and the regiment's garrison was Danzig.

              The extremely poor application of the white piping--thin-wide-almost disappearing- and the lack of a smooth round crown shape (photo of inside and irregular crown) is either the most poorly assembled hat or they had to work with the lights out. Horribly ugly either way...
