    Officer M-43

    Hello
Did original officer M-43's caps ever have single gromments on the sides?
Also, did they use a partial grey sweatband. I have only seen brown, so not sure.
    Thanks

Except of the Bermütze I have never seen an officer M43 wit grommets.

    Grey sweatbands are not unusual.

These officer's caps were private purchase items IMO and while a partial grey sweatband is certainly possible, it is not a "type" (IMO) as there were a number of makers, each with their own components.

Thank you gentleman. As with all collectables, enough variation to make you dizzy!
Just wanted to make sure as I saw one with a partial gray sweatband and single gromments (gray) on the side. It was an M-43 of fine field gray wool. Didn't see any maker marks though.
