    Army officer overseas cap

Bit of a strange one this, it has a mm for Alfred Valet which is not the usual script but the size stamp is the font they used. The rivits look ok to me but I have never seen a flatwire eagle like this one. The wool is very course and nothing glows. Possibly late war original or one for the bazaar??

    Any thoughts much appreciated

    Thanks

    Patrick

This very zig-zag stitching, loose weave of aluminum piping and HBT lining fabric are most unusual and suspect. The eagle is definitely a repro.
