rar Visor-Cap?

Hallo ,

i need opinions to this visorcap.is it real a "Penal battalion"or"Strafbataillon" one?
the visor was loose and was new fixed...its the first one i see

I'm not crazy about the one for review, reason being that I can't easily get around why an issue penal visor would be made by Pekuro with the extra luxury of a stirndruckfrei feature.
It would have bottom piping as already pointed out.
I also don't like the chin strap.
Here is my example for comparison;

My thoughts as well; original visor, added insignia.

I agree--hat is a 100% original TR Pekuro. However, the chinstrap is a replacement. Insignia is obviously added. I would put it in the mystery / unreferenced category. It probably just had the cockade (no wreath) and a civil eagle.

You may be right on the chinstrap..BUT Back in the early 30s they had a variety of goofy ersatz even shiny plasticy looking chinstraps..plus its also not unusual to see a chinstrap button a mm or 2 larger than the later standard size which this cap has.... just sayin..Billbert
