Thanks for comments guys, I´ve got the visor together with a jaeger patch, so my guess was, it´s worn by a Jaeger.

Here is a comparison together with an early EREL Gebirgsjaeger visor

Killer visor pipped for PzGrn but worn by Jager and even GJ. Hell the germans couldn't even get the colors right themselves. Great visor and a maker im still hunting for! Congrats on your great find. Matt

Nice visor, I have one to a jaeger in same green. You can pretty much decided which you want it to be with the lighter shades of green. Jacques

yes , the green...here a picture from my gebirgsjäger(100%) and my grenadier(bought) cap...but green is a difficult paint...

Its always a hard call on the colors. They vary a bit form one maker to another and then you throw the fading in there and it makes it harder. Here are mine that show a nice variety of color variation, I think one of mine is a Jager but its hard to say with out a name and a unit marking.. Matt

I just posted it to show the color variations.. I don't want to take away from this thread. I think this green waffenfarbe debate is one that rages all the time and we never really get a clear answer due to the colors being so damn close. Wish they had been a bit more definative about specific colors, but it makes for an interesting area to collect. One of mine im pretty sure is a faded jager but the thread I posted was about 50/50 Jager or PzGrn. Matt

yes ...green is difficult...i think nobody can say it to 100% when it not comes from privat with dokuments or jacket....
