There is one small detail in the cap maker's information that might narrow the time period as to when it was made. The term "Telefonanschluss" seems antiquated to me as I'm not familiar with it and it might provide a cut-off date by its useage. Perhaps Gerdan can help with this?

In the early days Albin Ludwig was a well known hat maker who also made visor caps for the army arround WW1.
But is is indeed hard to tell how old it is.
