I gotta say I really like it. Shame the farbe isn't a bit lighter green, but killer example and one I wouldn't cry to hard about if it were in my collection. Matt

I believe this cap was posted here before, if my memory is correct. Looks like a nice solid cap with replaced insignia. As long as there are no holes in the pasteboard, I'm a believer.

          Hi LOTHRINGEN,

some may say this is not a true alter Art as it doesn't have a leather visor.

I'm sure you've done your homework and learned that this Ersatz-type visor is an accepted variation . I'd say that the first owner of this cap could have gotten himself into trouble wearing this (as it's probably produced after the official wear-out date) so it was clearly seen as a alter Art at the time.

It's always hard to judge the greens in pics taken with flash but this doesn't seem to be Admin.

          Congrats... Kurt

            Kurt,

yes i know that this kind of that this Ersatz-type visor is an accepted variation
Nevertheless i was less sure that it is a jaeger … that is why i asked to several friends (who handled it) to give me their opinions.
each one told me that it is clearly a jaeger

Hello Xavier, it is for sure a nice Jaeger Alter Art style visor and a late war production.
It has a nice combat look, I like it !
              Congrats,
              Chris
