'funny' there's no double seam down the front or on the fold-down flaps. anyhow one specialist collector said it's real.... thanks again.

"No" this cap is NOT an issue RZM HJ wintermutze . The cap pictured might be a 1930s to 1960s civilian ski cap , that has a poorly sew HJ diamond and an incorrect button added to the front . In my over 35 years of collecting , I can state that this cap is diffently not Hitlerjugend issue .

It is a orginal RZM issue HJ wintermütze, it has just been modified with the 2 belts stitched together to make it more like a skicap ( the famous blue caps as we know them) with added a ugly gold button what does'nt look nice anyway..

Interesting... So, what exactly is 'RZM issue' about that cap? And what are these 'famous blue caps as we know them'.

In this thread member "Stonemint" shows some single button RZM caps made by Pekuro.

I don't know headgear that well but the caps shown appear to be good. They look much different that the cap shown in this thread to me.

Yes, I saw those too D. 'RZM issue', 'late-war'...

Does anyone who says 'RZM issue' actually have an RZM manufacturing regulation showing a cap like the one in post #1 (this is of course a prerequisite for being able to determine to what extent it has been modified and whether it is even a Hitler Youth item)? Just to take the colour of the lining as an example: in 1936 the RZM stipulated that the lining for the HJ/DJ Wintermütze and the DJ Skimütze should be black. If the cap in post #1 is 'RZM issue' then perhaps it is reasonable to assume that the person saying it has access to such a regulation. I haven't seen one and would be genuinely interested in seeing it.

The same principle applies to the 'late-war' setting. What is this based on?

                            Garry,

Apologize me for the late respawn ( I had no internet anymore )

This is the cap what I talked about.
It's the civillian post war blue cap, alot of people put a HJ diamond to it and sell them as WW2 HJ caps.

I own the cap of this thread now and i'm 100% convinced that it is orginal.
I will put some RZM cap examples next to it to show you what I mean.

                            Please give me 10 minutes.

                            Kind Regards,

                            Michael
