    Family Portraits

The Luftwaffe had a wide variety of headgear. Some regulation, some not so regulation. So, I thought it would be interesting to see some of the variations. So, I thought I'd put together some "family portraits". I'll post one every day or so. But, I thought I'd start with the "southerners".

Indeed!!! Very nice Jack. Is that a tropical eagle on a blue-grey wool overseas cap? Interesting.

...and who ever said DAK items were not allowed to be taken home as souviners? Good collection there.

The overseas caps are feuding between piped and unpiped with some taking the side of the other. So, they demanded separate photos.

Of course, the black and feldgrau wools are almost impossible to live with. They think they are better than the rest of their family. A close cousin (often identified as HG, but not really) and another joined in to balance out the photo.
