My opinion is yes. Unless I am mistaken, East German ones are identical, except the "twist" in the cord goes the other direction.

As a good key indicator, the knot stiffiner should be metal or pressed paper.

Very interesting. I had noticed a small percentage of war-time cords have "reverse twist". Does anyone know the percentage of post-war cords having that trait?
