M43 cap question

M43 experts out there... do all original M43 caps have bias material under the scallop, or are there original examples without?

Pulled a late war m43 officers out of the woodwork..late war..no pulls or reinforcements..but it had a GEORGEOUS flatwire trap in dull greens factory sewn to it..silver buttons too..Billbert

in SS items i saw both situation (without it's real very rare) but if you don't see... it's a red flag.
