    SS field visor, authentic?

    I' m pretty sure this is the genuine article and a bit salty at that but I know there are people on here who will know/say for sure!

    Also, since it's to be in an auction at some point, what is a fair price for this sort of visor in this sort of condition?

    It has an original Assmann skull and (I think) matching eagle.

        I think this may turn out to be a re-banded Heer visor...look at that stitching above the middle row of piping...not good!

          Very heavy and strange wear patterns and very white piping as well? Jacques

            I'm with Arran, the stiching are very strange. Looks like an heer to SS converted cap. Maby to make a higher profit?

            Some more photos would be helpful.
