    "LLD" Mystery Maker Solved!

This is a common "mystery maker" who made primarily Police visors, but also manufactured Wehrmacht and Political visors: "LLD" with what appears to be a stylized building above it (which I always thought had an "F" in it):

Well, the building actually exists to this day--maybe our German members will recognize it--note that the 2 sets of windows make it appear to be in the shape of an "F":

It is actually called "The Wedding Tower" and is located in Mathildenhöhe in the city of Darmstadt, and still stands to this day.

So how did I figure it out? I had it in my head "Louis Lorz" of Darmstadt= "LLD". Then I did a search for architecture in Darmstadt and up popped the Wedding Tower--mystery solved!

        Here is their pre-war logo:

I would presume that the factory was either based in this building or close to it.

Herr Enorepap, any listing in your files? (As always, I am counting on you)

Thanks for all the compliments--while I may be a researcher, I am not a very fast one--this one took me years (and I do not want to count how many!)
