    Unknown officer peak cap

Can anyone say what service this cap for a officer comes from?On the leather band W TRAUPE 11 is etched .It appears to have silver officer cap band and a blue/grey band for service on the cap top.Could this be for the early Reichsluftschutzbund?
    Thanks

Bahnschutz 1941-1945 (up until 1940 the colour was darker)

I respectfully disagree., the wartime Bahnschutz cap was another color altogether from this cap, and the insignia was distinctly different from this stubby gold Reichsbahn style eagle. Here are two Bahnschutz caps from the period you mention (with apologies to Member Vaughn O.):

Hat is not Reichsbahn, Reichspost, or Bahnschutz. It is not for any official TR organisation.

IMO, it is for a civilian organisation, such as a singing or band group. it may not even be TR, but hard to say.

IN the book DRESS AND FIELD SERVICE HATS OF THE 3 REICH by Tom Shutt on page 188 there is a photo of a man wearing a cap that in the writing describes a very similar cap as Reichsluftschutzbund from 1933-1938.Could this be it?

RLB wore lilac piping with a gray-blue wool body and a black band, so no, this wouldn't be for RLB

(the only other visor they wore was the Blockwart visor, but as you can see, it is different as well from your example):
