    Unidentified bergmütze style cap

I've picked this one a while ago. I know it's not ww2 german mütze but I kind of like it's design and would like to know who it belonged to and from what period is it. If you need any additional info or pictures please ask.

The cap doesn't have any vent grommets or lining. Visor like the cap itself is sort of thick but doesn't have a ridge. It looks like there was once a cockade with prongs attached to it but I have no idea if it was originally applied or someone just tried to imitate something. I guess the cap did originally have a cockade and someone removed it with intention of trying to imitate ww2 german reich cap. It clearly isn't a typical bundeswehr bergmütze nor a NVA cap. Silver buttons are not pebbled and on the back you can clearly read "Brüder Schneider Wien". As you can see behind the buttons there is a black piece of material which to me looks artificial.

My guess is that this is an Austrian early postwar mütze. Would like to complete it with a cockade (do not know what type suits it) and would like to know what service it belonged to and in what period was it worn.

    Any guess?

The color is not as orange as on the last 3 pics and not as gray as on first. It is kind of a light brown.

No doubt Austrian based on the button maker "Brüder Schneider Wien" = Vienna!
Most likely a stripped post war Austrian civil service something.
Regular army would have had a green cap body (field gray) of course...
and the cap would have also had an official Austrian "HBA" stamp somewhere!
          Liner shots?

First of all, thanks for your thoughts!

Sorry, I didn't even realize I forgot to post pictures of the lining. Here's the only one currently on my computer. If you need additional let me know.

The white thing you can see inside is not sewn to the cap lining. It is a sticker of some sort, maybe the seller had a price written on it or something. But next to it there is a "ghost" shape rectangle - 4.5 cm x 1.5 cm - of a tag that was once there but someone removed it (see the slightly lighter shade left to the white thing on this photo).
