    Odd French Made Navy? Coastal M43

    Gents,

    I usually stay away from cloth items but this one is interesting. I have never seen one with a french stamp.

    Did they make such a hat during the war?

    Any red flags?

    Lacks the German quality...Typical for French made caps...
    Lots of KM headgear was made in France with such typical round French stamps.
    This piece has a golden "Org Todt" like lining as opposed to standard KM green...
    Many OT items were also made in France!

      What do the french ones go for vice the German made ones??

        Yours is a very nice example..maybe 20 percent less value than a german made for most collectors IMHO..Billbert
