    Opinions on waffenfarbe

The pipping is just killing me and im unsure as to which farbe. I bought it as a pz gren and it kinda looks like it where the sun has faded it along the top of the pipping but the back makes me feel like its a jager. Love to hear your though on it. I didn't pay a ton for it so if it isn't pz gren which i am 99% is the case its not that big of a deal. Hoping for Jager though Matt

cap on top is the one in question compared to a couple of certain pz gren/kradschutzen visors.

This is an unusual color, but it appears to be Panzer Grenadier. IMO, the waffenfarbe more closely represents armored infantry than Jager.

Can you find any unit markings inside the sweatband?<O</O

Matt, jager to me. I have a jager tunic and visor, that match that perfectly. It is however not typical jager green and was also used by panzer gren. Jacques

                Mark,
No unit markings at all. It's just an inbetween shade that makes it hard to say one way or another. Either way its a killer cap. Matt

                  Matt,

Jacques is correct... I have seen Jager use this color as well but it's not a common waffenfarbe for these units.

It could really go either way and trying to get a definitive answer might be tough.

                    Matt,

You're right... whatever branch of service this cap belongs to, it is a beauty. Congrats!

I agree with the others Matt. It looks like my Jager as well.

Looks to be weisengrun, (grass green) for Motorized Schutzen. However don't think the Germans cared to much if it was reseda, weisengrun, or hellgrun for either the PzGr or Schutzen or Jagers as long as it was green of some kind.
