The insignia look correct to me but I would like to get opinions on the cap itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are right about the insignia.

Real insignia, but the attachment leaves a lot to be desired. It looks rather fresh. If you bought it as a restored cap at the insignia value then you are probably O.K. Weird lining material, it almost looks like cotton bed sheet, at least in these photos.
