    Luftwaffe m43 insigna

    Hello to all,
i'm not a Luftwaffe expert so i'm asking opinions about the legit of the insigna, expecially of the eagle, of this m43 field cap, the usually manufactured with RBNr 0/0501/0015. I think this manufacturer made this cap with lot of insigna version, including the one i posted with both eagle and cockade hand applyed althought in a less number, than the usually version with hand applied eagle and machine stitching cockade...
Please let me know what you think.

          M43

Here is a quick shot of my M43 same RBNr. as yours eagle is hand sewn, and the crown stitching passes over the tip of the eagles wing. My roundel is machine sewn. I think yours is fine. It's sewn on after the eagle was applied. Your eagle was sewn on just like mine. I think it's all good! DL

            M43

Another quick shot, sorry for the slight blurriness. You can just see the stitch go through the tip of the wing. DL

              Hi DL,
thank you for your answer. Because my eagle is not a common version as yours for example, i'd like to know, for first, if it's an original example or not, then if the whole insigna could be period mounted.

                M43

I went through my Luftwaffe M43's until I found the same type of insignia. Identical eagle and roundel as yours, but different MM. Yes I believe them to be authentic and period applied. Also this M43 was an e stand purchase from a fellow WAF member who has many M43's in his collection. DL.

                  Hi Alex,
all is OK with your eagle IMO,here is a very similar eagle ( machine stitched) on my M43 cap.
                  Best

                      Thank you guys,
now that i'm sure the insigna is ok i'd like to know if its original placed there by the manufacturer. Hard to know althought the hand made seams are a really good job.
