Schirmmutze ORIGINAL?

Hi,

A friend of mine found this schirmmutze, and he asked me my opinion.. and I must confess that I don't like it...but I want to be sure.

That is only the third Leopold Appelt " Leopard " I have seen. I have mixed emotions. I like the exterior appearance, with one major exception. I generally associate the vulkanfiber visor on this cap with postwar BRD hats--note the shape of the ridge.

There is a lot of wear to the exterior, but the sweatband appears unworn. The staining to the lining seems artificial to me. Can you get under the hood pics?
