I'd like to know your opinions on this Bergmütze.

I couldn't see any trace of stitching for the Edelweiss and it is an intriguing piece. I was told that this one was a private purchase from a NCO probably.

Thank you for identifying that incredibly rare bird...I just couldn't put my skeletal bat finger on it, but you nailed it! The price of the cap may be worth it just to get that eagle variation.

Alex, I think the responders were just poking fun at the eagle. It is a standard subdued grey bird, selling for about 45 USD in good shape.

I agree this is a post-war cap with no chance of being original. I would pass on the whole creation, if it were offered to me.
