Hey guys!
It's been a long time since I posted here with a new addition to my collection.. Since 2011 was a quiet year regarding the hobby, I thought it would be good to invest more time and money in it in 2012! So well, let me show you my first big addition to the collection in 2012!
I always told myself to get me one of those shakos, as I like the way they present themselves. The great eagle on the front just asks for respect. So Well, finally, I got myself one of these babys!! And a one that just has it all!
A Third Reich police shako, dated 1936 in all parts, making it one of the first productions of these kind, double makermarked by Erel and Robert Lubstein, named like 5/6 times in the helmet with a pencil, and having a name tag underneath the leather liner with the same name and the unit he was serving in! Oh and well, like it isn't enough to get you all satisfied and exited; It is family purchased, never in a collection before mine, and the condition is just stunning with no moth holes or flaws at all!
So well, enough words, pictures can show you more then fingers can typ! Hope you all like it, the shako that belonged to W. (Wilhelm) Braun serving with 1.S.H. .. By the way, anyone is familiar with this unit?
