Artillery overseas cap

I picked up this cap today, it is overall in good condition and I believe it to be an untouched and honest piece.

It looks like all the insignia has been added later, I'm not even sure what this cap started as? Maybe Coast Artillery or foreign? Wait for all the cap guys tomorrow before setting the explosives.

If I had to guess, I think this cap may have started out as a KM overseas cap (with the cockade possibly original to it), then at some point the golden yellow soutache (if it had one) and KM eagle were removed and the Heer eagle and Heer artillery soutache substituted. When this was done or why this was done is open to conjecture. At any rate, not a cap for a purist.
