The Most Interestintg Visor Cap in the World...

Well, maybe not, but I just had to rip off the Dos Equis commercial... In all honesty, I just picked this one up and have never seen an interior like this before. The maker is Carl Kirschner of Bayreuth. The cloth lining is sewn around the top of the cap's interior, and a fabric that reminds me of waterproofed canvas lines the rest of the cap's interior. What's more, I can't find any evidence that this is not how it came for the factory - everything is very well done. Has anyone else seen an interior like this, or does anyone have another Kirschner cap for reference?

        Don--

That is pretty much standard civilian contract cap construction--most often found in Reichsbahn visors.

I have seen it in WH visors, but it is very rare.

There is one Kirschner example I posted in the pinned threads--on that one, they went all out--silk lining, velvet stirndruckfrei, etc.

Looks like the officer was on a budget!

            Don,

what's the piping color? If it's carmine it could be a rebadged Prison Guard visor, they had interiors like that and the green capband... Kurt
