if possible, it would be interesting to have a close wiew from inside of grommets used on this cap.

As already stated - it is a fake m40 (NOT 'm41' which is completely incorrect if using accurate collector's terminology).
I'd also like to see the details as this could fool a few collector's who aren't up to speed with above average reproduction m40's....
                Regards,

Despite the nice sewing and overall appearance which would fool many--they bungled a few things.

Just from the title alone...before seeing any photos, my first reaction is "too good to be true." Which is confirmed by the photos and other opinions.

If there was one tropical cap I would want...it would be one of these, and that is exactly who the faker is aiming at...someone whose desire will outweigh their knowledge, or sense of reality.

Fortunately I had just received an electro-shock treatment just before coming on the forum, and it has not worn off yet...so I was spared.

Nice cap...if you can't afford the real thing.
I'm very pleased to see many issues with this one as it is easy for experienced collectors to see immediately that it is bad. Unfortunately many inexperienced collectors will be easily fooled and that will be an expensive mistake.

It appears to have been sanded to simulate wear ... that's without knowing or delving into specific construction details of which I know nothing.

A number of convincing components were used but fortunately not in a way to seal the deal....I count 6-- maybe 7 things that blew it quite quickly.
