M43 field cap, second opinion

I just wanted to get a few thoughts on this cap. I have no reason to suspect it's not okay. Would you say the insignia is period-applied? It looks machine stitched.

Thanks - it's really just belt and braces, as the guy who has it is trustworthy and would stand by it. I used to know a bit about field caps, but it's been a while and I'm rusty.

What kind of prices do they fetch in this condition?

I wouldnt JUMP on this till you get some MORE opinions on it...............(AFTER SOS ENDS)..There arent MANY original HEER M43s that are size marked only..Myself I d want 1 that was rbn marked or some early 43 date marked... Billbert

i sure hope the trustworthy guy you bought it from will return your money back because it is NOT! an original pre 45 produced army m-43 cap
