Aspirant officer's Erel white top visor cap Luftwaffe Flak ..

      Hello All,

Aspirant officer's white top visor cap Luftwaffe Flak made by Erel.

Aspirant officers were permitted to wear officer's cap cords.

Cap has a removal top, note the EREL's tag still attached to the sweat shield.

      Happy collecting!

      Philippe

I like this Gebirgsjaeger/Jaeger Schirmmuetze for officer with bullion Insignia, made by Erel which I bought in Vienna, a few years ago. Also look at the thread for my other favorite Schirmmuetze for Gebirgsjaeger Officer!

                        Die Grosse Vier...

Here's my "Big 4", two of which I have obtained from Association members over the years. The first is a stone mint Luftwaffe officer's cap I got from Mike Heur about two years ago. Marked "Extra Klasse" under the sweat diamond.

                          Panzer Visor

Next is a Panzer visor I picked up from George L., another Association member. It's a Erel "Extra". It has some mothing to the piping which is my current project to repair. Otherwise, the cap is in great shape, with the ventilated cockade.

                            Infantry

An infantry officer's visor from Deutsche Armeemarinehaus which I actually picked up in Germany from the man's nephew along with his waffenrock. Reportedly only worn three times, and stone mint. Interesting in that he replaced the standard chin cord buttons with shoulder board buttons sewn directly to the side of the cap.

                              Artillery

Pre-war double Erel in great shape - shows general wear but sweat diamond is complete and the hat has a great crusher shape. Sorry about the lame quality of the scans. If I win any money in Vega$ next week, it's going toward a better digital camera!

                                Seppl,

I liked your Gebirgsjäger visor cap very much. I do have a couple, too. What about the Tschako in the background? Is it a Swiss tschako (or like we swiss say "Käpi") of the Landwehr (with two stars at the sides of the battalion unit numer)? Do you have other tschako? Although I am Swiss, it seems quite difficult to find good pieces of these caps, in farly good conditions and without being upgraded or touched...

                                Ciao,

                                Claudio
